16th of February – XP Level System Up and Running
Balancing Gym, Family, and Productivity
Started the day early (7:40 AM) after only 5 hours of sleep, thanks to a late-night anime binge. Picked up my mate and headed straight for a push day gym session. After training, I went to a family gathering for my niece’s second birthday, ate six chicken drumsticks, and then made my way home to focus on personal goals.
Today was a mix of fitness, social time, and grinding through some website work, but the biggest achievement was getting my XP Leveling System published on my website!
Workout Highlights & Running Progress
- 💪 Push Day Session:
- 🏋️ Dumbbell Bench Press (since the flat bench was taken).
- 🏋️ Incline Chest Press Machine.
- 🏋️ Cable Flies.
- 🏋️ Seated Overhead Dumbbell Press.
- 🏋️ Side Raises (wasn’t on the plan, but extra shoulder work never hurts).
- 🏋️ Skull Crushers & Rope Extensions for triceps.
🏃 Treadmill Run:
- 🔥 2 km in 12 minutes, then walked for another 3 minutes, making it a 15-minute total session.
Other Wins for the Day
- ✅ Got my XP Level System live on my website—still tweaking formatting, but it’s finally published!
- ✅ Played 20 minutes of guitar—sticking to the habit.
- ✅ Read my book for 10 minutes—not a long session, but progress is progress.
- ✅ Went for a 5K walk with my housemate’s brother—helped him stay accountable for his goal.
- ✅ Tracked my calories properly—realized how calorie-dense Wagyu steak and roti bread are.
- ✅ Updated my YouTube descriptions—added my website link so new viewers can find my content.
Lessons & Self-Reflection
What did I learn today?
- 📊 XP Leveling System is harder to format than expected—HTML tables are frustrating on mobile.
- 👀 My family watches my progress more than I realized—they asked about my fitness goals and website.
- 🚶 5K walks are way easier with good company—having someone to chat with makes it enjoyable.
What scared me today?
😨 That my XP tracking wouldn’t feel rewarding—but after reviewing the system, it actually motivates me more.
Looking Ahead
- 📌 Tweak the XP Level System layout to make it more readable.
- 📌 Continue gym momentum—next session is already planned.
- 📌 Find a better way to track XP automatically, instead of manually.
- 📌 Stick to morning workouts—afternoon training makes it harder to hit calorie goals.
Final Thoughts
Today was productive—gym, family, website work, and personal growth all in one. The XP system is finally live, and I’m excited to see how it keeps me accountable over time.
“You’re enough. You’ve got this. Go kick some ass and crush those goals!”
