π 26th of February β I Have an Addiction to Beef Jerky π
πΈ Costco Haul & Spending Realizations
π $1,000 at Costco β Yeah, that happened. Went down for a quick shop and ended up spending a grand. To be fair, some of it was for my housemate’s birthday party, including a cake that I accidentally sat on and squished like Hagrid did to Harryβs cake in Harry Potter. Itβs still good thoughβjust a little misshaped. π
π₯ What did I buy?
- π° Cake for the party β Now a bit squished but still edible.
- π₯© Pork bellies, dips, brownies, and cheese and chive scrolls.
- π₯ An air fryer β Because why not?
- π 20 bags of beef jerky β Yeah… I may have a problem.
π₯ Takeaway: No regrets. Just a full pantry and a slightly lighter wallet. π
π Morning Routine & Gym Session
β° Woke up early β Didnβt even set an alarm, my body just woke me up at a ridiculously early hour.
πͺ Gym Session:
- ποΈ Push day β Felt strong despite my calves still being sore.
- π Ran 1.21 KM at a steady pace to test out my calf. Kept it slow and steady at 8 km/h.
π₯ Takeaway: Consistency is key, even if it means taking it slower than usual.
π Mindfulness & Gratitude Check-In
- π Grateful for: The Costco employee who told me about the 2% cashback on a premium membership. Thought it was just a marketing trick, but it actually makes sense if you spend as much as I did. π
- π Compliment to Myself: Good on me for getting out of my comfort zone and taking a long drive with someone Iβve never traveled with before.
π₯ Takeaway: Pushing boundaries, whether itβs in the gym or socially, leads to growth and progress.
πΈ Guitar Practice & Creative Routine
πΈ Practice Session: Played a little earlier in the day. Didnβt log it as XP, but it was nice to play casually and enjoy the music.
- πΆ Song in Progress: βYou Should Probably Leaveβ by Chris Stapleton. Still learning the intro and rhythm parts.
π₯ Takeaway: Even casual practice keeps the habit alive and enjoyable.
π₯ Nutrition & Calorie Challenges
π Food Intake: Ended up eating three pieces of Costco pizza β thatβs 1,800 calories right there. Realized Iβd need to burn that off if I wanted to eat anything else later. π
- π₯€ Protein Shake: Had a protein shake with one and a half servings for a little extra boost.
- π‘ Realization: If I want to enjoy tasty food later, Iβve got to put in the work now.
π₯ Takeaway: Itβs all about balance and earning those calories through activity.
π Evening Run & Activity Recap
- π Went for a 1 KM run after walking with BJ. Needed to burn off the pizza calories.
- πΆ Walked 4.5 KM β Just to get moving and clear my head.
π₯ Takeaway: Activity balance is key when you have a high-calorie intake day.
π XP Tracking & Progress Update
π Total XP Progress (Feb 26 Update):
- β Gym: 30.58 hours β Crossed the 30-hour mark! π
- β Guitar: 10.48 hours β Casual play but still making progress.
- β Reading: 9.07 hours β Same as yesterday, need to read more.
- β Running: 39.77 KM β Getting closer to the 50 KM goal for February!
π₯ Takeaway: Consistent tracking keeps me motivated and on track to hit my goals.
π― Looking Ahead & Future Plans
- π¨οΈ Print Passport Documents β Still havenβt finished this. Tomorrowβs the day!
- πΈ Guitar Practice β Push to learn the full cover of Chris Stapletonβs song.
- π Keep running consistently to hit the 50 KM goal by end of February.
- π Catch up on reading β Itβs falling behind guitar XP.
π₯ Takeaway: Setting clear goals keeps the momentum going.
π₯ Final Thoughts
π‘ Biggest Wins Today:
- β Hit the gym and went for a run despite feeling sluggish.
- β Maintained a sense of humor about the Costco splurge. π
- β Stayed consistent with XP tracking and activity balance.
“You’re enough. You’ve got this. Keep moving forward and crushing those goals!” π
